"Technology Lessons"
Faculty who have used some of the emergent technologies such as tablet PCs (Georgia Arbuckle-Keil, Department of Chemistry) and Lucy Ford (School of Business) and podcasting (Allen Woll, Director of the Honors College and Department of History) and Robert Emmons (Asssistant Director of the Honors College) will discuss their experiences. 
Lunch will be served.

"Teaching an International Studies Course" -- reprise
This workshop will feature faculty members who have previously taught an international studies course who will discuss strategies and issues related to such courses.  The panel includes Marie Cornelia, Joe Martin, Tim Martin,  Joe Schiavo, and Gabor Toth.
(This workshop is being repeated, since the December session was impacted by bad weather.  It will also feature some faculty recently returned from spring break trips abroad.)
Lunch will be served.

"Serving as Mentors for Undergraduate Research"
This workshop, conducted in cooperation with the Committee on Undergraduate Research, will feature faculty members who have experience guiding undergraduate student researchers.  They will discuss various aspects of the mentoring process for students involved in research and creative activities.  Scheduled participants include Alex Roche (chemistry), Luis Garcia (psychology), and Allan Espiritu (Fine Arts).
Lunch will be served.

This workshop, conducted as part of the orientation series for new faculty members, will draw on the collective wisdom of experienced faculty members, including Georgia Arbuckle, Marie Cornelia, Bob Ryan, and Bill Whitlow.  Although primarily intended for recent hires, the workshop is open to all Arts and Sciences faculty members.
